Ok, so I just realized that the last time I updated this thing was when Lorelai was born. I've been meaning to update it, but just never have. So, here we go. Lorelai is 7 1/2 months now & is so fun! She's crawling now & very quickly. She also pulls herself to her feet & stands & bounces. She LOVES her Johnny Jump Up! & she loves to talk. She babbles on & on & laughs & giggles. Peek-a-boo is one of her favorite games & she loves her Goodnight Gorrilla book. She eats gerber foods, of which she most enjoys fruits. She loves her apple juice & pear juice & white grape juice. She wears 3-6 months & 6-9 months clothes, except in Gerber onesies, which, for some reason, run REALLY small. Cody & I are doing great! We love being parents! It's so much fun. & every so often, we leave Lorelai to play with her Memere & Grandpa Shelby & we go to walmart or every once in a while go on a date. This past weekend, we went out to Coco Pazzo, a nice little italian restaurant here in town. It's only a few years old, it got a very broad price range with entrees anywhere from $7-$20. It was really good food & it came in huge portions, along with really good (& big) salads & unlimited breadsticks. My entree ended up being 3 meals for me & a snack for Cody. It was great little place to go for a date & we'll deffinitely go there again! Other than that, Cody's in school at MACC & he's really enjoying it. He's taking Language, Sociology, Psychology & Human Anatomy. He likes his teachers pretty well. He's got classes Tuesdays & Thursdays, with the exception of Sociology, which is only on Thursdays & the other half is online. Other than that, there's not much going on. Just life.

Welcome

Today has been an absolutely amazing day. It started out yesterday around 11am, when Cody & I were laying around & my water broke. I had 3 1/2 weeks left till my due date, so I wasn't sure what was going on. Long story, short I called Dr. Puckett's office to see what they thought. They weren't sure if I was actually in labor or not, so Dr. Puckett said she wanted me to go ahead & come in to the hospital & get checked out to confirm if my water had broken or if it was something else. So, Cody called into work & we came back up from the lake. We Got to the hospital a little before 4 yesterday afternoon. they did a test that confirmed that my water was, in fact, broken. I was dialated to a 1 & 50% effaced. So, they moved us to a birthing room & got us checked in. They decided that since my water broke at 11 & I was still only at a 1, that they wanted to start me on petocin to get things moving, as well as antibiotics since she was a little early. Mom, Dad & Jeremy arrived around 7:30. At this point, the monitor was showing contractions, but I wasn't feeling anything. I stayed at 1cm for hours & barely less at 2. Somewhere between 2 & 3, I started actually feeling the contractions. As they continued to up the petocin, the contractions got stronger & painful. Mom & Cody stayed up with me all night, helping me through them. I couldn't have done it without them. - *I started this post while in the hospital the day Lorelai was born (February 19th, but for whatever reason, never finished it, so I'll do so now. - Finally, at 6:13 am, Lorelai Marie Miner was born. 18 inches long & 5lbs 14oz. She's beautiful & perfect! We love her so much & just can't get enough of her! *For pictures: See my Facebook. Most of you should have access. If not, let me know.

Ok, ok. So, EVERYONE has been telling me I need to update this thing & put up new pictures. Well, I've been intending to, things have just been super crazy lately!
So, Cody & I are now living up in Moberly at Mom & Dad's. We decided that it would probably be best to be here till the baby's born, so that when I go into labor, we only have a 30 min drive instead of 90! Plus, that way, there's always someone around, just in case. At the moment, Cody's still working at CALO, so we go down to the lake every tuesday night & stay at his brother's through friday, since he lives 2 minutes from CALO. Then we're back up here all weekend. Hopefully, we'll be able to find Cody a job up here soon, though so we don't have to worry about me going into labor while he's working & we're still an hour & 1/2 away.
The pregnancy is going great! We're into the Dr. visits every 2 weeks now, instead of 4. We had a visit yesterday. Everything seems to be great! I'm apparently growing right on track. She did say the baby's heart rate is on the low side of average, but she didn't seem concerned. She got kicked pretty good while listening, so she liked that.
Other than that, Wiggles is just as active as ever! Lots of kicking & moving around every night between about 11 & 1:30 or so. Cody gets kicked a lot at night, but he actually enjoys it... for now.
We went last week & bought a crib! Yay! So, we've got that set up & it's sooo cute! I'll have to get a picture of it on here, but I don't have one tonight.
Well, I think that's about it for now. Here are some new preggo pictures! We just took them tonight, so they're definitely current! Enjoy!
